The event features 11 downtown restaurants that have each created a customized takeout package for $40.
"We encourage you to support our restaurants by placing your orders for some delicious food at an affordable price," BID said.
And all of the specials really are specials and worth taking the time to make that call and support area restaurants.
The event runs from Tuesday, Jan. 26 through Saturday, Feb. 6.
Some examples include:
- The Dolphin, a Mediterranean/seafood restaurant at 1 Van Der Donck St. They are offering a surf & turf dinner for two that includes a mixed green salad, 2 pcs of Argentinean flank steak with chimichurri, and six grilled jumbo shrimp over garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli. At $40 bucks for two, that's quite a deal. To order, call 914-751-8170.
- Another top restaurant on the list is the X20 a classic French restaurant at 71 Water Grant St. Their special includes dinner for four, featuring lime & chile marinate games hens with frisée salad and spicy spoon bread. To order, call 914-965-1111.
- For those with a little spice in mind, try La Bella Havana Cusine at 35 Main St. They are offering quite a deal for $40 that includes a choice of one Sangria/Rum Punch, a side of either empanada, salad, or soup, and an entree with a choice of Cochinito Tazon (Pork), Ropa Vieja (Beef) with Rice & Beans, or Stuffed Filet Fish (Fish) – Stuffed with Fried Rice. And to top, if off you get a choice of dessert including flan, Tres Leche, or chocolate mousse. To order, call 914-920-9777.
